Writing Tips

The Poem
Poetry is a story in verse form, and it should have a plot. All good poetry, whether metered or verse, has structure.
Poetry is concise. There's more there in less space. Use well-chosen vibrant words, strong verbs and nouns, fewer
descriptive adjectives and adverbs.
Revise, revise, and revise again.
A Tip about Titles
Give your work a title. It should suggest something about the content of the poem, and create the mind-set you want the
reader to have when they begin to read the work.
