Recently, the Virginia House of Delegates and the Virginia House Appropriations Committee approved budget cuts in state funding for the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities (VFH) and the Virginia Commission for the Arts. The ultimate goal is to eliminate all state funding for these agencies, effective July 1, 2011.
